Overview
WPLIA is a small, lightweight WordPress plugin that helps you keep track of the links inside your content. It scans your WordPress database and maps both internal links (links pointing to your own site) and external links (links pointing to other websites).
WPLIA is a reporting and auditing tool, not a link-building tool. It will not insert internal links into your content, suggest anchor text, or repair broken URLs automatically.
What You Can Do With WPLIA?
Link Counting and Grouping
The plugin groups your internal links by post, page, and post type. For each item, you can see the total link count, how many links point to it, and how many links go out from it.
Orphan Page Detection
Some posts and pages on your site may have no internal links pointing to them. The plugin finds those for you, so you can add links and connect them to the rest of your content.
Overoptimized Links
Too many internal links on one post is not always a good thing. Search engine crawlers can get confused, and the value of each link gets spread too thin. The plugin highlights any posts where the link count looks too high.
Self-Hosted & Privacy Focused
WPLIA works in "read-only" mode and it does not change your settings, content, permalinks, or your database structure. It stores its data in separate database tables. Specifically, it does not:
Add, edit, or remove links from your content
Create redirects
Modify post status or visibility
Scan content that is not stored inside the database, such as links hardcoded in theme template files.
Most link-checking tools run on external servers and require a paid subscription. WPLIA works differently. You install it directly on your WordPress site, just like any other plugin.
Your scan results are stored in your database, so you keep full control over your data without relying on an external platforms or cloud solutions.
